Purpose

GoodBot’s Policies and Procedures Manual promotes a workplace culture and member relationships that are respectful, safe, open, accountable, rewarding, and engaged. The policies and procedures outlined in this manual act as the standard code of GoodBot. Therefore, the manual will be used as a reference and guide when interpreting and resolving any situations.

GoodBot’s Policies and Procedures Manual supplements applicable codes and laws, including the BC Human Rights Code and Employment Standards Act of BC. Where the Manual does not highlight a particular policy or does not meet the minimum requirements, the applicable Code or Act will apply.

As a non-profit organization, many of GoodBot’s employees are funded through various grants. Often times, these grants come with strict provisions and conditions which we must follow (generally applicable to member team and compensation policies). GoodBot reserves the right to defer from our policies when it is required under specific grants. Any hiring requirements under the grants, such as an age restriction for Canada Summer Jobs funding, will be stated in the job posting. Other compensation related requirements or conditions will be stated in the employee contract.

GoodBot’s Policies and Procedures Manual will reviewed at least annually, and revised as needed.
