Purpose

GoodBot recognizes the importance of taking eating and rest periods. These breaks provide an opportunity to refresh yourself and maintain a healthy and safe work balance.

Scope

This Policy applies to all paid employees of GoodBot.

Policy

GoodBot does not have a designated break time. Break times may vary according to operational needs as scheduled or approved by your manager.

The paid lunch period will normally be 30 minutes, which can be taken in a single 30 minute slot or broken up into several slots such as two 15 minute breaks. An employee or contractor may also, with the approval of their manager, choose a 1 hour lunch period, and start 30 minutes earlier or stay 30 minutes later. The choice of a longer lunch period is subject to the operational requirements of GoodBot.

Managers shall ensure that employees are entitled to a paid eating/ rest period of at least 30 minutes, at intervals that will result in no employee working longer than 5 consecutive hours without being able to take a rest period.
